Spread the word about making the world a healthier place! Health issues in some way or shape effect everyone and finding cures is a worthy cause. Especially if it can be affordable.
One way we have played a part in finding cures was donating my child's cord blood after birth. It didn't cost me a penny. It did cost me a little bit of time looking up an organization that accepts donated cord blood but after that they took care of the rest.
Cord blood is rich in minerals and stem cells. It is used to help heal and repair tissues, organs, and diseases. Research is constantly being done to procure what else this mega-rich blood has that can help the human race. Something so simple yet so neglected.
There were almost 4 million births in the USA in 2017. Imagine what diseases could be easily cured and the quality of life that could be obtained if even half of those moms donated their child's cord blood. So, moms of America, donate your cord blood! Encourage your pregnant friends to donate at birth and if you work in a hospital ask them to take the lead in making it easier for moms to donate. Educate the masses and we can reverse the tide on some of these health maladies.

Here are some tips to tackle your pantry and keep it organized from the Guru of Organization, Kim Bignon of Organize U (organizeuco.com).
One thing I have found that helps organize messy spaces and helps me create space for more things, is by containing most things. If you are a family who loves "on the go snacks" you can regain much space by using baskets or bins to store all snacks together. Purge boxes because they are bulky and dump all snacks into a bin. Boxes take up a lot of space in a pantry and when you have an open container like a basket or bin you can SEE what you have left and you will know when to replenish.
Also, containing pasta's and cereals and baking supplies in similar containers that stack well will help maximize your space and keep small things from getting lost in the way back.
ORGANIZE BY SHELF
Designate each shelf to a different category. This helps you know where to look when you are making pasta for the family dinner, or baking cookies for your Bible study. Give everything in your pantry a "home" so that you know where it lives and where to put it back. Labeling your shelves is another way to remember where things live.
Your pantry (and your frig) are truly the "action central" of your kitchen. These two areas should be stocked and ready for daily living, for last minute dinners and parties and for all those hungry mouths in your family. When you have an organized pantry, and you inventory often, you know when and how much you need to replenish so that you are shop "ready" when it's time to visit your local grocery store. Also, when you inventory regularly, you save money and time. You won't be buying duplicates of items or find yourself running back to the grocery for that box you forgot. KNOW what you have and be prepared.
Pampering your pantry takes a little time and effort, but it's worth it to invest in some tools, some purging and some practice.
Put her tips into practice. Your pantry will be happy and your family will be too! You can also find her on Twitter and Facebook.

A friend of mine read this poem at one of our writing meetings and I wanted to share it with you all. She does not know who the author is. My friend said that she saw it on the internet a few years ago and there was no author name. Think about what this author has to say it's good for our culture and generations to consider and put into practice.
In all the turmoil we read and hear about there was a day in America's history where the biggest discipline issue teachers had in classrooms were gum chewing. If we want a more peaceful world, maybe we should look back to move forward.
Think about it...
Remember When: Crime did not pay; Hard work did; and people knew the difference.
Moms could cook; Dads would work; Children would behave,
Husbands were loving; Wives were supportive and children were polite.
Women wore the jewelry; Men wore the pants.
Women looked like ladies; Men looked like gentlemen and children looked decent.
People loved the truth and hated a lie.
Cursing was wicked, drugs were for illness and divorce was unthinkable.
The flag was honored, America was beautiful and God was welcome.
God was worshiped; Christ was exalted and the Holy Spirit was respected.
Church was where you found Christians on the Lord’s day,
Rather than in the garden, on the creek bank or on the golf course.
Sunday was the day to worship the Lord.
You could not find a store open anywhere to purchase anything
Because Sunday was a day of rest.
When our priorities are in the right place other things that matter fall in line. It's the mystery of rest [dedicated, holy, set apart.]

My youngest asked me this question hoping to stump me or give me some insight I didn't know. My kids like to play "Stump Mommy." Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes I pretend I have no clue just to see the satisfaction on their faces that they knew something Mommy didn't know. It's fun. This time around though when he asked the question, I had the right answer.
In case you were wondering and you didn't know the answer to the question here it is. An angel says "hello" like this: "Halo!"
Pretty cute, huh!?! Hungry for more? Want to read some at the dinner table? See if you can stump your family and friends? We've got more on our Kids page under Angel Trivia. Happy Stumping!
