The psychologist who consulted on the movie "Inside Out" describes awe as, "the feeling of being in the presence of something vast or beyond human scale, that transcends our current understanding of things."
It is easy to get caught up in the busyness our fast-paced-at-our-fingertips world that we miss the "awe moments." The birds singing that beacons the start of a new day. What are they singing about? Their dreams from the night before? Or are they doing a neighborhood role call to make sure everyone's accounted for? Just the fact that different birds can be identified by their songs is pretty awesome. That teenager that irritates you now had you in awe the first time you held them in your arms. Just the psychology and physiology of how their bodies and brains are developing is awesome. Seeking the "awe" in our lives makes us more appreciative. This makes us happier, which in turn makes us healthier. A great cycle to be on, right? How can you get your "awe" back or become more "awe" aware in life? Pause. Reflect. Research. Renew. I remember going to the Grand Canyon and it took my breath away it was soo awesome. Our church used to sing, "I Stand In Awe of You." It's so true. If you look around at the majestic trees. Reflect on how big the sky is. Research how things work or the Scriptures. Renew your mind with a fresh perspective. It will be awesome. You will be in awe. More awe = more good things. More good things = a life that is being lived well. #angelsareawesome #childrensbook #whereisyourangel #angelwatchingoverme #istandinawe #aweinspiring #kidsbookonangels #peaceloveangels

We've added more to our website just for you! Under the "Kids" page of the website we have added 6 more fun activities to the "Printable Activities" section.
There is a "Missing Letters", "Unscramble the Code", "Scene Change!", "Angel Scavenger Hunt", "Hidden Angels", and "Angels Everywhere!" pages for the kids (and adults) to enjoy. Some of them are pretty tough. It took me a while to find that last missing angel. We have a few more fun activities in the works that we will be adding in June. Until then, enjoy the over a dozen fun-filled angel activities to sharpen the mind and increase the bond with your kiddos. #angelactivities #childrensbooks #angelbook #whereisyourangel #angelwatchingoverme #kidsbooks As a mother to young kids we have messes. Everywhere. All the time. Even after they clean their room and clean their bathroom and clean up after themselves around the house. The clean just doesn't last very long. My husband calls it the “lived in look.” I concur. One day our kids will grow up, become adults, and move out. I imagine we will have less messes then.
Right now as I look around the house, I see stuffed animals strewn around on the bedroom floor. That means in “stuffed animal land” a fight or an adventure took place. In the living room books are left on the couch. That means my kids were diving into a story, learning vocabulary, and being introduced to something new. On the dining room table I see the Dinner Games left out. That means they don't want to forget them so we can deepen our relationships around the dinner table. In the bathroom are dirty socks on the floor and toothpaste in the sink. This means they remembered to take off their socks before getting into the shower and that at least some of the toothpaste made it in their mouths. Yes, there are messes all around my house...but not all of the time. Nor will it be like this for all time. I find the magic in the messes and adore the hot messes that made them. #childrensbooks #kidsbooks #messes #angels #whereisyourangel #angelwatchingoverme #angelbooks #mom Are you looking for something to do this weekend? Then there's one that speaks to my heart - even though it's all about food. There's a saying, "The way to a man's heart is through his stomach." I've modified it accordingly. "The way to my heart is through my stomach!" There are soo many recipes with the word "angel" in it or are on a similar vein that we had to create TWO Boards. The "Angel Food Cake Recipes" Board is solely for angel food cake recipes. We never knew there were sooooooo many ways to make angel food cake. Our horizons have been expanded! We have almost 300 different ways to make angel food cake pinned just for you. It's almost insane just going through all of them. Who knew?!?!? Now you know. The other Board, "Angel Recipes", has just about all the other "angel" food in it. Angel hair pasta, angel biscuits, angel cookies, etc. There might be a handful that could fall in either category. We did our best to put them in the right spot for you. Enjoy!! For those who have long hair, we have something beautiful for you. It's our "Halo Hair" Board. There are some fun ideas! If only I had a few extra hands to style my hair how some of them do. They make it look so easy! Facing a tough day? Need some encouragement? Maybe a word of wisdom? Don't know what to do? Then we have a Board for you! It's called "Sound Advice." It offers just that - sound advice. We searched pins high and low and pinned those that would offer inspiration and divine hope. Need to add a quote to a card for a friend? Look no further than here. Lastly, our "Where Is Your Angel?™" Board shows pictures of us out and about in the community. It also shows some pictures of illustrations found in the book. Remember, when you make the recipes, do the crafts, or hang out with your angel- take pictures and share with us! We like seeing your creations. #angelbusyness #whereisyourangel #childrensbooks #angels #pinterestangels #foodandangels #angelcrafts #halohair There's a childhood saying and you may have said it yourself when it comes to kids calling kids names. It goes like this, "Sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me."
That is a nursery rhyme lie we need to stop perpetuating. It is more truthfully told, "Sticks and stones may break my bones. My bones will heal but the words you speak will scar me." Words have power to go down deep into the crevasses of our soul that no doctor can heal, no medicine can cure. We need to watch the words we speak to our kids, our spouses, and ourselves. Words can lift a heavy weight or change the atmosphere in a room. We understand the power of words and we have incorporated into our Where Is Your Angel?™ series of books good words that provide a good identity and healthy relationships. Add some books into your homes today that will foster healing and not harm. #angels #whereisyourangel #childrensbooks #names #healthy Did you know that people who pray and have faith in God are sick less, take fewer medications, heal faster, and have better emotional health? There are countless articles and documented research across the board that proves and supports this.
Want more peace? Pray. Want to forgive someone who hurt you? Let it go by prayer and releasing it to God. What to be in better health? Pray before every meal. And pray before going to the grocery store or convenience store when you grab your next bite of food or drink. Want to feel better about yourself, the world, your co-worker? Pray. There's a great ancient book of prayer that has worked wonders for 1000's of years of humanity. Get that book and pray those prayers. Your countenance will change as will your outlook. Did you know that people, families, workplaces, and schools who believe in angels have fewer “incidents” than those who don't? Something about angels, about the divine, that makes life better. Don't we all want a better life? We don't usually get up thinking about having a terrible day or doing something onerous. Angels help us along our paths pointing us in the right direction. Start your angel's mission today. You will be glad you did...so will those around you. #whereisyourangel #shopnow #better #meaningful #angelwatchingoverme #peaceinprayer #missionstarted #contactus So that the story is not left on a sad note, here is the rest of the story...
It's Empty! by Evangeline B. White 4.2.18 The day started somber on the way to the tomb. Spices in hand, grieving hearts, a sense of doom. The earth shook suddenly, a violent quake. An angel came down and some noise he did make. The guards were first to see this marvelous sight. As the stone was rolled away by the angel's might. Like dead men the guards froze and fell. Then scurried to the priests their story to tell. The women went in to the tomb to see Their Savior called Jesus from Galilee. His body was gone. The tomb was empty. Two angels appeared and said, “He is risen from the dead!” In wonder the women went out to tell the men What they heard, saw, and where they had been. In amazement Peter and John ran ahead, To see if it was just as the women had said. Inside the tomb only linen clothes lay, Folded and neat; then the men went away. Jesus appeared to the women with greetings. Then along the road and in the midst of a meeting. Jesus is alive and holds in His hand, Keys to death and hell, under His command. Good news to all, to all who will hear. The Savior has risen, no need to fear. Respond to His knock and answer His call. His blood paid the price because of the fall. You can find the stories in this poem outlined in Matt. 28, Luke 24, John 20, Rev. 1:18 #heisrisen #resurrectionsunday #easter #salvationforall #whereisyourangel |
