Holy cow the angels are coming to Chick-Fil-A!! Family night + angels = good times.
We love hanging out with cows. They moove us to eat more chicken. Their spelling mistakes make us laugh. They are friendly. So come hang out with us and the cows tonight - it will be a "holy cow!" evening! #chickfila #angels #books #crafts #storytime #memories #goodtimes #whereisyourangel #angelwatchingoverme #holycow

Looking to keep the kids busy this summer but not break the bank? Do you want your kids involved in a service project or two and have fun at the same time? Have we got an idea for you!
Every summer our kids go to VBS (Vacation Bible School). I remember going to VBS as a second grader and learning sign language - and today still remember all the letters of the alphabet! Our kids enjoy going, meeting new friends, learning new songs and dance moves, gathering donations for worthy causes, and finding out how much they are loved. The service projects range from collecting canned food for a local food pantry to raising money for an outreach in Mexico. Most VBSs are free although some do charge a nominal fee. They are usually in the morning for 3 hours and will provide a snack for the kids. Our local radio station has a list of local VBSs in the area. You can also check out churches near you and see if they are offering VBS this summer. It's a great offering for the community that churches provide. One church even had VBS at night and had free dinners for the family before the VBS started. We LOVED that one! No matter if it's at night or during the day, participating in a local VBS is sure to be something your kiddos will enjoy. And who knows, maybe your kiddos will learn something there that will last for a lifetime. Bonus! #vbs #vacationbibleschool #summer #fun #serve #community #free #kids #whereisyourangel #angelwatchingoverme #books #angel For all you fans of gaming apps out there, we are one step closer to getting an angel app in your hands - or better said - on your phones. We have gone from the Quarter Finalist stage to the Semi Finalist stage in our app development with the Code Launch App Pitching Competition. Our next step would be the Finalist stage.
We are grateful for your support and have you on our minds every step of the way! Stay tuned as we will find out more next month. #angelapp #CodeLaunch #pickus #kids #divine #finalist #gamingapp #foryou #family #fun #meaningful #whereisyourangel #angelwatchingoverme If you could get your kids to eat more vegetables and a greater variety of vegetables would you? Well, we have read some recent research about how you can do that PLUS pack a powerful protein punch.
It all has to do with peanuts. Kids who dip their veggies in peanut butter are more likely to eat more veggies and eat more than just one veggie. There are more bonuses to including some peanut protein in their (and your) diets. Research done on peanuts has shown that kids who eat peanuts no less than once a week are less likely to be overweight. According to the US Department of Agriculture peanuts provide 8 grams of protein per serving plus are a good source of vitamins, minerals, and fiber. The New England Journal of Medicine says that if you increase your peanut servings to twice a week you may reduce your risk of heart disease by 24% and that people who eat nuts live longer. We know there are some peanut allergies out there and we don't want you to feel excluded. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) recommends that if you start introducing peanut containing products to babies as young as six-months old they will be less likely to get a peanut allergy as they age. Ask your pediatrician or look up NIAID's studies to determine what's best for you and your family. So, there you go. Peanuts pack a powerful protein punch! Personally, my favorite peanuts are dipped in dark chocolate. Just saying... #peanuts #proteinpunch #betterforyou #healthy #livelong #bonus #veggies #angels #whereisyourangel #angelwatchingoverme #booksforkids You are always on our minds. We here at Where Is Your Angel?™ are always thinking of ways to incorporate the meaningful, the divine, and the fun into your lives. One way we are doing that is by developing apps - angel apps to be exact. And we are one step closer to getting those in your hands!!
We recently got wind that we are a Quarterfinalist in the Code Launch App Pitching Competition. This is a big deal and we are fluttering about with our wings outstretched because of it! The folks at Code Launch gave us an "emblem" to shout out the news! Symbolizing this accomplishment in our company's angel app milestone. Keep your fingers crossed, your prayers lifted, and your hopes high as we toss our hat (or halo) into the app arena. #luckyus #angelapps #CodeLaunch #appsforkids #divine #finalist #shoutout #prayerslifted #whereisyourangel #angelwatchingoverme You are always on our minds. The folks at Code Launch gave us an "emblem" to shout out the news! Symbolizing this accomplishment in our company's angel app milestone. Personally, I thought the emblem needed some minor adjustments so I took the liberty to modify it accordingly. Keep your fingers crossed, your prayers lifted, and your hopes high as we toss our hat (or halo) into the app arena. #luckyus #angelapps #CodeLaunch #appsforkids #divine #finalist #shoutout #prayerslifted #whereisyourangel #angelwatchingoverme Has anyone said to you when you arrived somewhere, "Oh you just missed so-and-so! They left a few minutes ago."? That so-and-so is someone you'd been wanting to connect with for a week. Oh well. Most times it's all about timing.
Sales are about timing too. We needed a new washing machine one year and I knew during Black Friday one would be on sale that would work for our budget. Sure enough, we saved $200 waiting for that sale. Memorial Day and 4th of July sales bring sale items for outdoors and home improvement projects. Think brick pavers, grills, shutters, etc. So if you are looking to spruce up your home check out the sales ad of your favorite stores. Right before the Super Bowl brings the best deals on TVs. If you can't spring $1,000 to see the game live, then may as well see it on a large screen tv right?!? Certain days of the week can also bring extra discounts online. When I've shopped for airline tickets it's not just about the day of week you fly in or out, price is also about the day of the week you purchase your tickets. Purchasing them on the weekend always increases the price. So the next time you need a deal, look at the calendar then figure out the best times to get more bang for your buck! #timing #deals #sales #shopping #cantmiss #savemoney #new #better #angels #books #whereisyourangel #angelwatchingoverme #bestdeal Does summer in your house bring lazy days of struggle? Last summer we implemented some summer rules in our house. The kids immediately took to them like ducks to water. Because this was such a success, we are posting the sizzling Summer Rules again for your perusal.
This morning at 10:00 a.m. our house was quiet. My husband was in the kitchen. I looked at him puzzled and commented about the quietness. He mouthed in absolute amazement, "The kids are doing that list." They were in the sitting area at the table diligently creating their own comics. I smiled. Mission accomplished. On the thirtyhandmadedays.com website I found a Summer Rules list. For ease of reference it is attached here: summer_rules.pdf. I laminated it so my kids can check off each one with an eraseable marker as they go down the list. That way the Rules can be used fresh each day. It has practically eliminated the, "I'm bored. What can I do? Can I play on the phone? Can I play on the Wii? Can I watch...?" questions. You may notice that this Summer Rules doesn't say how long the kid/s can play electronics, that is up to you. Since these Rules do things in 20 minute increments, I tell them it's 20 minutes on the electronics. They also know electronic time is up to Mommy's discretion. Deciding factors would be how well they played together or how well they cleaned up their room or how fast they obeyed when asked to do something. Tailor it to your liking. This Summer Rules is a great and fun way to organize summer days. I'm a fan! #summerrules #angelsandsummertime #sizzling #angelonthemantle #whereisyourangel #angelwatchingoverme #gottahavemyangel #createandorganize #kids #summer |
