It's All About Timing

Has anyone said to you when you arrived somewhere, "Oh you just missed so-and-so! They left a few minutes ago."? That so-and-so is someone you'd been wanting to connect with for a week. Oh well. Most times it's all about timing.

Sales are about timing too. We needed a new washing machine one year and I knew during Black Friday one would be on sale that would work for our budget. Sure enough, we saved $200 waiting for that sale.

Memorial Day and 4th of July sales bring sale items for outdoors and home improvement projects. Think brick pavers, grills, shutters, etc. So if you are looking to spruce up your home check out the sales ad of your favorite stores.

Right before the Super Bowl brings the best deals on TVs. If you can't spring $1,000 to see the game live, then may as well see it on a large screen tv right?!?

Certain days of the week can also bring extra discounts online. When I've shopped for airline tickets it's not just about the day of week you fly in or out, price is also about the day of the week you purchase your tickets. Purchasing them on the weekend always increases the price.

So the next time you need a deal, look at the calendar then figure out the best times to get more bang for your buck!
