Kids Say the Darndest Things

The other day I put a little note in my kids' lunch boxes. It was actually  lunch box notes that came in a Chick-fil-A Kids Meal. My kids weren't using them so I confiscated them. They usually smile and appreciate my “Mommy notes” and when I write something special on their sandwich bags.

After picking them up from school they mentioned getting a note in their lunch boxes. My oldest made a comment that was more like, “...really Mom?”
This was the remainder of our conversation:
I replied, “How special is that!?! What other moms put notes in their kids' lunches?!?!”
My son chimed, “Matthias' Mom.”
I exclaimed, “That's awesome!!”
He went on with further detail, “And you know what me and Matthias say?”
“No, what?”
His head cocked and moving side to side, “Moms these days...”
Laughter erupted from the driver's seat!!
