I don't follow sports too much- unless it's my kids' games – but there is March Madness in the basketball world. This week has seemed for me a bit of March Madness. Things haven't quite gone as planned, hoped, or anticipated. It's like I'm in the first half of one of those old Calgon commercials where the haggard mom or woman cries out, “Calgon, take me away!” The second part of the commercial shows her instantly translated to a soothing bath. No more stress or chaos, just calm. Insert a collective exhale with an “Ahhhh....” here.

In the midst of the madness, this is what runs around in my mind that soothes my soul: “I trust in the Lord with all my heart and I don't lean on my own understanding; in all my ways I submit to Him, and He will straighten things out.” Prov. 3:5-6 (paraphrased) Insert the peace that comes with surrender here.
