Speaking To The Youth

We recently had the honor of being an invited guest speaker at a private school in central Florida to speak to their older students. I was asked to come in and talk to them about the writing process. The students were impressive, interactive, and engaged! They had some great ideas of what genre of books or materials they would like to write.

During our discussion, we talked about the 4 steps in the writing process. The two things you do before you pick up the pen, next steps to get the story cranking and characters developed, and then putting on the finishing touches. It was a great time. We were so glad to be there and share with these budding writers steps to get them on their way to success – whether it be a school paper or a story they write for the masses.
