A friend of mine read this poem at one of our writing meetings and I wanted to share it with you all. She does not know who the author is. My friend said that she saw it on the internet a few years ago and there was no author name. Think about what this author has to say it's good for our culture and generations to consider and put into practice.
In all the turmoil we read and hear about there was a day in America's history where the biggest discipline issue teachers had in classrooms were gum chewing. If we want a more peaceful world, maybe we should look back to move forward. Think about it... Remember When: Crime did not pay; Hard work did; and people knew the difference. Moms could cook; Dads would work; Children would behave, Husbands were loving; Wives were supportive and children were polite. Women wore the jewelry; Men wore the pants. Women looked like ladies; Men looked like gentlemen and children looked decent. People loved the truth and hated a lie. Cursing was wicked, drugs were for illness and divorce was unthinkable. The flag was honored, America was beautiful and God was welcome. God was worshiped; Christ was exalted and the Holy Spirit was respected. Church was where you found Christians on the Lord’s day, Rather than in the garden, on the creek bank or on the golf course. Sunday was the day to worship the Lord. You could not find a store open anywhere to purchase anything Because Sunday was a day of rest. When our priorities are in the right place other things that matter fall in line. It's the mystery of rest [dedicated, holy, set apart.] #thinkaboutit #whereisyourangel #angelwatchingoverme #kidsbooksonangels #remember #angels #consider #watchmanangel
