Wearing Blue, Supporting the Kids

Did you know that an estimated 6,000,000 children in the United States lose a parent by the age of 18? That's a lot of young ones. Today is a day to remember these kids. It is Children's Grief Awareness Day, a national movement to bring awareness to grieving children's needs.

In Central Florida, New Hope For Kids has over 450 children in their grief program. They offer a supportive and caring environment for kids in their grief journey by giving them hope and healing. They also provide scholarships, holiday gifts, summer camps, and more.

Since kids and families are what Where Is Your Angel?™ is all about, we are proud to support New Hope for Kids for the 2nd year in a row. Tonight they have their annual walk called Hope for the Season. They will walk around Cranes Roost Park, wear blue, and hold a vigil for the loved ones they have lost. This is a special time in the healing journey for these families in the upcoming holiday season.
